A “hidden gem” in the heart of Ottawa.
Here’s something different. Visit the Currency Museum of the Bank of Canada. It’s located in the middle of downtown Ottawa, very close to both Parliament Hill and the Supreme Court, located in the Canada’s central bank building. The Currency Museum features permanent displays of the history of money in Canada and around the world, as well as temporary and travelling exhibitions on a variety of money-related themes. The current exhibition is called “In the Money” and is all about the science of making money from the earliest to modern day.
The Currency Museum is open October 2, 2012 to April 30, 2013 Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In May, check the website for new summer hours. For more information, go to: Currency Museum.
